Twohands Pro Listing and Disclosure Policy

Effective date: October 12, 2026 · Version 1.0

1 Purpose and application

This policy applies to Pros who create or maintain a Twohands profile, respond to inquiries or offer services through their independent businesses. It is incorporated into the Twohands Terms of Use. Capitalized terms have the meanings given there. A profile is an opportunity to provide truthful information about your business, not evidence that Twohands has approved your work or credentials.

2 Identify the actual business

Use the name of the business that will contract with the Homeowner and identify your authority to act for it. Do not impersonate another business, borrow another person's license, conceal a materially different contracting entity or claim credentials held only by an unrelated person. Business registration is not the same as an occupational or home-improvement license.

Keep your business contact information and service area accurate. Do not claim a physical office, local presence, availability or response time that is materially misleading. You may describe the services you lawfully offer, but a Twohands category does not determine what you are licensed to do.

Include a license number and other required identifying information in your profile and advertising wherever applicable law requires it. Do not treat an optional Platform field as permission to omit a legally required disclosure.

3 Licensing qualifications and insurance

Maintain every license, registration, certification, bond and insurance policy required for the particular services and job location. Requirements can differ by trade, municipality and project. Do not accept work based solely on a credential from another jurisdiction or an assumed exemption. If you claim an exemption, you must have a reasonable factual and legal basis for it and explain it accurately when relevant.

When listing a license, identify the holder, issuing authority, license type and number, and any expiration information the Platform requests. Do not omit restrictions that materially affect the services offered. Promptly correct changes, suspensions, revocations or expiration, and stop offering affected work until you may lawfully do so.

Insurance statements must accurately identify the type of coverage you claim. Do not say fully insured, covered for everything or otherwise imply unlimited protection. A certificate is evidence of information about a policy; it is not a guarantee that an insurer will cover a particular claim. Do not imply that general liability coverage automatically supplies workers' compensation or covers every subcontractor. Confirm coverage and exclusions with your insurer and provide required disclosures directly to the Homeowner.

Coverage amounts, expiry dates and document details must be current when represented as current. You must not falsify, alter, selectively redact material qualifications from, or submit someone else's credential documents as your own. Redact unnecessary sensitive information before any authorized upload without concealing material coverage limits or restrictions.

4 What Twohands does and does not represent

Twohands does not independently verify or guarantee licenses, insurance, bonding, identity, background, experience or service quality in this launch offering. Publication, a completed profile, staff review for Platform compliance, or a submitted document is not certification or endorsement. Do not use approved by Twohands, Twohands verified, Twohands insured or equivalent claims.

If you choose to upload a document through an enabled feature, its permitted audience is described by the upload screen and Privacy Policy. Do not assume an upload is private or publicly visible without checking that disclosure. Uploaded documents do not replace insurance disclosures, licensing records or other documents that you must give directly to a Homeowner under applicable law.

Twohands may request clarification, remove an unsupported claim or restrict a listing. This is Platform moderation and does not transfer responsibility for your representations or create a promise that Twohands has checked other profiles. Requests for review can be submitted through support@usetwohands.com.

5 Portfolio photos and experience

Use only photos, logos, text and other materials you own or are authorized to publish. Obtain any needed permission from clients, photographers, designers, employers and other rights holders. Remove addresses, security details and other unnecessary personal information before publication. Do not display people or private property in a way that violates their rights.

Identify your actual role in featured work. If you contributed as an employee, subcontractor or member of a team, do not claim that your current business independently completed the entire project. Label concept images, renderings, stock images and AI-generated illustrations clearly and do not present them as completed client work. Do not remove copyright attribution or watermarks to imply ownership.

Experience, awards, memberships, certifications and references must be accurate and described in context. Obtain permission to publish a reference's contact details. Do not fabricate past clients, completed jobs or affiliations.

6 Rates inquiries and communications

Describe any illustrative rates or price ranges accurately, including material exclusions where necessary to avoid misleading Users. Respond truthfully about availability and whether a site visit or assessment has a cost. Agree directly with the Homeowner on the scope and any visit charge before incurring it. Twohands does not set, endorse or guarantee your price.

Contact people only for the relevant inquiry or another separately authorized lawful purpose. Do not scrape, sell or transfer contact details, send bulk unsolicited messages, use project information for unrelated marketing, or continue unwanted solicitation after a clear refusal. A Platform inquiry is not blanket permission for automated marketing calls or texts.

Do not pressure a Homeowner to waive legal rights or falsely state that Twohands requires a deposit, payment method, hiring decision or waiver. Never request a Twohands platform fee from a Homeowner or suggest that a direct payment is protected by Twohands.

7 Your workers and project documents

You are responsible for employees, subcontractors, helpers and any other people you engage to perform services, including appropriate qualifications, required coverage, safety and lawful employment practices. Inform the Homeowner who will perform or supervise the work and obtain authorizations required by law or your agreement. Do not disclose homeowner information to unrelated workers or businesses for unauthorized purposes.

Your business must provide legally required service contracts, insurance disclosures, notices and copies directly to the Homeowner. Comply with applicable New York home-improvement contract requirements and local licensing rules. Twohands does not draft, sign, administer or enforce your project agreement or operate project cancellation, deposit or refund procedures.

8 Reviews corrections and enforcement

Follow the Acceptable Use and Reviews Policy. Do not review your own business, manufacture endorsements, compensate people for favorable sentiment, threaten lawful reviewers, or conceal a material relationship in a review. You may respond professionally and report a suspected policy violation. A disagreement alone is not grounds for suppressing a review.

Correct material inaccuracies promptly upon learning of them and cooperate reasonably with requests concerning your own listing or a report. Twohands may limit visibility, remove content or suspend an account under the Terms. Compliance does not guarantee inquiries, customers, rankings or continued availability of free features. Nothing in this policy limits obligations you owe directly to a Homeowner or any nonwaivable legal rights.
